Why do I need to Review Receipts?

It's quite common for receipts to lack complete information or for the image to be incomplete, blurry, or unclear, which prevents Receipt-AI from reading all the information.

What is Review Required?

'Review Required' in Receipt-AI indicates that there is an issue or discrepancy with the receipt data that needs to be manually checked and resolved. This might include situations where:

+ The issued date is missing.

+ The vendor name is missing.

+ The total is zero or does not add up.

+ The line item prices do not sum up to the subtotal or total (if the line item feature is enabled).

+ Other data inconsistencies or errors are detected.

* A receipt uploaded using SMS by Receipt-AI, marked as "Review Required" because it's missing the total: Base Community Cafe ($0.00, June 29, 2024).

You get the idea. By marking a receipt as 'Review Required', Receipt-AI flags it for further inspection to ensure accuracy and completeness before it is processed or approved. Whenever a situation like this occurs, if you are connected to accounting software like Xero or QuickBooks, the upload will be paused until the receipt is reviewed and corrected.

How to Mute All 'Review Required' Messages:

To mute all 'Review Required' messages, go to 'Edit Profile' and turn off the 'Review Required' settings.

Only the account owner has access to this setting. If you are the account owner, this setting will automatically be applied to all your team members based on the option you choose for your account.
