Download Receipts as a CSV

You can download receipt data from the Receipts page as a CSV file. CSV files can be opened in spreadsheet tools like Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.

Quick steps:

1. Go to Receipts.

2. Click the three-dot menu next to the Receipts title.

3. Select Download CSV.

4. Select the fields you want in your file.

5. Click Download.

Choose the Fields in Your CSV

After you select Download CSV, you can choose which fields to include in your file.

The download window has two sections:

Receipt

Use this section for general receipt details, such as the receipt date, vendor, category, totals, payment details, and member information.

Line item

Use this section for itemized receipt details, such as item descriptions, quantities, prices, and line item categories.

If you only need a summary of each receipt, select fields under Receipt and leave Line item unselected.

When to Download a Receipt CSV

Download receipts as a CSV when you want to:

Review receipt data in a spreadsheet.

Share receipt details with an accountant or bookkeeper.

Prepare expense or reimbursement reports.

Sort, filter, or organize receipt data outside of Receipt AI.

Keep a separate copy of your receipt data.

Where is the Download CSV option?

Go to Receipts, click the three-dot menu next to the Receipts title, then select Download CSV.

Can I choose which columns are included in the CSV?

Yes. Select the fields you want before downloading.

Do I need to include line items?

No. Line item fields are optional. Use them only if you need itemized receipt details.

What does All do?

All selects every field in that section.

What can I use to open the CSV file?

You can open the file in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or most spreadsheet tools.
