I understand the joy of being an investor.
Who doesn’t like to be pitched? It puts you in a position of power.
People prepare for you. They try to impress you.
It’s flattering.
But as a founder, I experience it differently.
When someone pitches, investors tend to think:
“Is this investable?”
But founders ask something else:
How do we make this work?
What would it take?
So instead of pitching an investor, talk to a founder.
Exchange ideas. Think from the customer’s point of view.
The product that wins is the one that solves a real problem.
Focus on that, and the rest follows.
