Got a fake Stripe payment email this week.
I had to check it multiple times before I was sure it was fake.
That doesn’t usually happen.
It’s easy to think we’d never fall for a scam.
That’s exactly when we should be careful.
Confidence lowers our guard.
What used to be obvious is not obvious anymore.
Stay humble.
My rule:
If an unexpected email asks me to download something, sign in, or enter payment information, I don’t use the link.
I go to the company’s website and verify it there.
Look at the screenshots.
Can you tell what gives it away?
